At SmartSoc Hope Foundation, we come across many heart-wrenching stories, but little Laiba Fathima’s battle with Neuroblastoma (eye cancer) deeply moved us.
🚨 At just 19 months old, Laiba is fighting for her life. Instead of playing and laughing like other children, she spends her days in a hospital bed at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru. Her parents, struggling tailors and beedi workers, are doing everything they can, but the cost of treatment—₹12 to ₹15 lakhs—is far beyond their reach.
When we visited Laiba’s family, we saw the unbearable pain they were going through. Their home, their financial situation, and their tears told us one thing—this little girl needs urgent help.
